Hi, I'm a soon-to-be mom going deep into the research before our first baby arrives.

I'm in my third trimester. The next few months will change everything, and I have spent most of this pregnancy reading: the Montessori method, child development research, STEM learning principles. What started as notes for our own family turned into something other parents kept asking to see.

This blog is that research, organized and made practical, written for the kind of parent I am about to become. No perfection here. Just honest, evidence-based preparation from someone counting the weeks alongside you.

Based in North Carolina. Currently in the third trimester.

These are the tools I'm building for our family, and yours. A research-backed account that grows alongside whoever you're raising.

The honest details.

Why this site exists

I'm a few weeks away from meeting our first baby, and almost none of the internet's advice for new parents is calm. It's either selling something or scolding you. This site is my attempt at a third thing: short, research-backed, Montessori-inspired writing from someone preparing for this.

What I write about

Montessori at home. STEM and play. Developmental milestones. Toy guides by age. Practical life skills (yes, from six months). Outings and sensory rhythm. Tantrum prevention. Sleep. All of it filtered through what the peer-reviewed research actually says, and what Montessori practitioners have known since 1907. I'm writing it as I learn it, alongside other parents who want to walk in prepared.

What I won't do

No miracle claims. No affiliate links shoehorned into every paragraph. No pretending to be a doctor or a developmental psychologist (because I am neither; I'm a parent-to-be reading the actual research). When something needs a pediatrician, an OT, or your own intuition over my words, I will say so.

How to reach me

The best way is to create a free account or head to the contact page. Both land in my actual inbox, and I read every note myself (even when it takes me a while, especially once the baby arrives).
